As part of a prestigious initiative by the Istria County Tourist Board, one of the world’s most prized gastronomic treasures – the Istrian white truffle – is coming to the heart of London for an exclusive auction at the renowned Sotheby’s and a fine dining dinner at the iconic Mark’s Club.
On Tuesday, October 21, collectors and gourmets will have the opportunity to participate in an event of particular importance for Istria, held at none other than Sotheby’s headquarters on New Bond Street in London. Three exceptional specimens of Istrian white truffle, donated by Karlić Tartufi from Paladin, will be offered at the auction.
The auction will take place during an exclusive dinner for invited guests, where the power of this aromatic delicacy will be experienced firsthand in one of the courses. With this event, the Istria Tourist Board not only presents the destination’s most valuable product in the most prestigious market but also, together with Sotheby’s auction house, confirms the status of the Istrian white truffle as a masterpiece of nature whose value is comparable to the greatest works of art.
All proceeds from this unique auction will be donated to humanitarian causes, making this moment even more significant. Specifically, the funds raised will be donated to the Veruda Pula Daily Rehabilitation Center.
