What many have thought about, no one has attempted until now\u2014we took the plunge last year and are continuing full steam ahead this year, says Darko Muzica, estimating that the process could take four to five years, as two years are needed for protection at the Croatian level and within two years for the European Commission to protect it.<\/p>\n\n

Once we obtain the national protected designation of origin, where we do not expect many problems, we will proceed with protection at the European level, and there we must prepare very thoroughly because it is not easy to obtain such protection, especially when it concerns a fungus, however specific it may be\u2014Muzica continues.<\/p>\n\n
