{"id":2530,"date":"2023-10-24T22:33:20","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T20:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.istarskibijelitartuf.com\/we-are-working-on-protecting-the-habitat-and-designation-of-the-istrian-white-truffle\/"},"modified":"2026-08-15T14:39:26","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T12:39:26","slug":"we-are-working-on-protecting-the-habitat-and-designation-of-the-istrian-white-truffle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.istarskibijelitartuf.com\/en\/we-are-working-on-protecting-the-habitat-and-designation-of-the-istrian-white-truffle\/","title":{"rendered":"We are working on protecting the habitat and designation of the Istrian White Truffle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a segment dedicated to the opening of the white truffle hunting season filmed on September 2, 2023 in Motovun, the agricultural program Boje Zemlje examined the &#8220;situation on the ground&#8221; and forecasts for the upcoming season. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;There are truffles, due to unfavorable weather they are still slightly immature, but we expect a good harvest in the second part of the season&#8221; &#8211; this is the statement with which the majority of truffle hunters present at the season opening event organized by the Truffle Hunters Association &#8220;Istra&#8221; from Motovun agreed.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All attendees were also addressed by the Head of the Administrative Department for Agriculture, Forestry, Hunting, Fisheries and Water Management of Istria County, Dr. Ezio Pinzan. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We have been working on the protection of the Istrian White Truffle for some time now. We now have the consent of the Ministry of Agriculture and I believe that in the foreseeable future we will implement the protection procedure so that truffles found in Istria can be designated accordingly.
