The Istrian Mushroom Exhibition was held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Pazin City Market, where all visitors could learn about the process of protecting the geographical indication of the Istrian white truffle. The exhibition was organized by the Istrian Mycological and Fungi Association under the patronage of the Istrian County and the City of Pazin. Members of the “Istra” Truffle Growers Association also attended the exhibition, as the association itself is a member of the federation. In addition to numerous exhibited mushrooms, a mushroom stew, and live music, two presentations on underground fungi were held in the city hall, and all attendees could learn about the exhibited mushrooms from expert guides and members of the IMGS.
